I DON'T GET IT
With so many alternatives, why do people stay on the social media giants, and then complain about them? Back in June when I was having trouble with Facebook, I started this site, hoping my friends would follow me here. Most did not, even the ones that complain about Facebook the most.
There are so many alternatives, I just don't get it. Why tolerate what the social media giants do? For example, recently on Facebook, I posted in a group that needs Admin approval. I got a notification that my post was approved, and when I went there, the post was nowhere to be found. That happens on Twitter too. So far, that hasn't happened on Google+.
Facebook has so many rules and regulations about who can be a friend, and what can be posted, that I have often seen complaints. People get blocked from posting for a couple days, they get threatened with banning. Yet people still stay on Facebook. I don't get it.
Why haven't my Facebook friends follow me to various other sites? Is it because my Facebook friends are only friends on Facebook? If they were true friends, they would have followed me. I guess I'm just not all that important to my Facebook friends. In fact, I'm not all that important to more than a very few. So why do I even try?
Okay, there are a few new friends that probably don't know about this site. But they will now, then I can see who are true friends. You know, I have followed others to other sites. But very few have followed me to other sites. It seems Facebook friends, many are fair weather friends. They really don't care about me, nearly as much as I care about them. So, perhaps I do get it.
