WHEN WILL I BE LOVED
by Tom Lineaweaver

That song is the story of life. No one loves me. Oh, there are those that help me with food, money, things like that, which I appreciate. But there is no one that helps me emotionally. No one that stands with me when I'm in Court because the landlord is trying to put me out on the streets. And it doesn't matter in Lebanon County Court what the truth is. In my experience landlords lie, and still win. It doesn't matter what the Landlord Tenant Act of Pennsylvania says. If a tenant can't afford an attorney, their goose is cooked. There is no justice for the poor in Lebanon County Court. And going to Mid Penn Legal Services is a crapshoot. You might get a good attorney, or not. This time for me it was not. That lawyer seemed to be more concerned about the landlord. Of course, if you ask him about it, he'll deny it.
So, on April 30th, I have to go to trial alone, with no help from anyone. Well, I'm tired of it. I am so tired of having to go through these legal hassles alone. Oh, and I drew Judge Tylwalk. I had him before, and each time the truth didn't seem to matter. He even forbade to ask a pertinent question. Sure wish I could get another Judge.
You know, I reached out to WGAL 8, Lancaster, PA, because of their "8 on Your Side" segment. Well, they don't seem to be on my side. Same as Fox43 in York, PA. I've tweeted them, sent them emails, and they never contact me so I can tell them my story. I contacted other media in Pennsylvania. But the plight of the poor doesn't seem to matter in Pennsylvania Courts, or in the media.
I have no doubt that the truth won't matter to Judge Tylwalk, and he will order me to be put out on the streets. But who cares?
