Fox’s Last Man Standing this Friday drew 6.2 million total viewers and a 1.2 rating, slipping two tenths in the demo to mark a revival low, yet still dominating the night in that key measure. tvline.com/2018/10/20/last-man-standing-ratings-fox-revival/
While Last Man Standing is doing well, it's not enough to carry the entire network. In fact, the overall low ratings at Fox TV will probably hurt the ratings of Last Man Standing. We who are fans of Last Man Standing need to get on FOX TV about getting a better prime time lineup so our show can do better.
Fox TV could do much better if they made a few changes. 1. A Fox News Hour at 6 PM. 2. Expand prime time to 11PM, and, of course, get better prime time shows. 3. A Fox late night show at 11:30 PM, perhaps hosted by Jerry Seinfeld.
A better Fox TV prime time means better ratings for Last Man Standing.
True, Fox had picked up Last Man Standing for an 8th season, but will there be a 9th if the ratings keep going down? Fox TV must have better programming for Last Man Standing to go beyond an 8th season, if there is one. True Fox TV will have to honor whatever agreements they have with the cast and crew. That doesn't mean they have to air the show.
By making the changes I suggest above, Fox TV can increase their ratings and climb up there with CBS and NBC. That can only help Last Man Standing.
Fox TV can do it, if they want to.
