WHAT DID SHE SAY WRONG

Some claim she flubbed answering the question about inequality. But, it was a stupid question. In my opinion she actually did a good job of answering this stupid question. Here's the transcript of the question and her answer.
Question: One of the biggest challenges facing the United States is social and economic inequality. How do we narrow the gap between the rich and the poor?
Her answer: When it comes to social and economic inequality, I think the rich and the poor need to stop being so segregated. I think there's a middle class. I think that the rich need to... (pause) ... I think that the rich need to be able to be giving, and I think the poor need to work hard, and I think that the middle class need to come together and find an in between. Thank you.

First of all, why I believe it was a stupid question. The question was asked in the context of "social and economic inequality," in the United States. Now put on your thinking caps. If we had economic equality we wouldn't have rich and poor. So to ask the question, "How do we narrow the gap between the rich and the poor?" in that context was stupid. They asked a question that cannot be answered in reality. In reality we have always had rich and poor almost since the beginning. Down through history there have been people that have tried to change it, with no success.
How was she supposed to answer a question that is not based on reality? Income equality is a liberal pipe dream that's never going to happen, which not only makes that question stupid, but unfair, and I think Miss Mejia should sue the pageant for asking a stupid question and making her look bad.
When you consider her answer, it's my guess she's a conservative Christian, and is probably the reason she was asked that question. She said, "the rich and the poor need to stop being so segregated." She also said, "the rich need to be able to be giving." Who is it that taught those things? It was Jesus. Then she said, "the poor need to work hard." That is a conservative view. Liberals want to keep the poor on the Government dole. Liberals don't want the poor to work hard.
Let me throw in her answer about success...
Success comes from love. A Christian answer if I ever heard one.
In my opinion, I think that pageant did all they could to make her look bad, with the goal of making conservative Christians look bad. Liberals will do that every chance they can.
I do not believe Miss Mejia said anything wrong. It just takes some intelligence to understand what she said, something those that condemn her obviously don't have.
