LAST MAN STANDING S07 E02

Delighted that Last Man Standing is back on TV. Loved the jabs they took at ABC in the first episode, and it was funny as usual.
The second episode was not as funny as usual. Of course, they were dealing with the death of a loved one. Vanessa was right, Mike needed to grieve, although, for some that's hard to do. I could really identify with Mike. When my dad died, I didn't grieve. My dad was not the best dad. He certainly had his good points, but when we think of people, we often think about the negative things. For some reason, negative things that people do seem to have a greater impact on us than the positive things they do. At first that's what Mike thought about. But, then he was out in the garage alone, where he talked to his dad who was sitting on his favorite chair. I thought that was very good. The writers and the actors came together and dealt with the issue with dignity and class. This episode was one of the best.
There was humor in the show too. Kyle figuring out what to wear on his new job at Outdoor Man, and Mandy helping him. As usual Kyle was funny. And I do love his new hairdo.
I never said this anywhere, but I am a bit upset that Molly Ephraim abandoned the show and the fans that adore her as Mandy. While Molly McCook is a good actress, she is no Mandy. Sorry Miss McCook, but that's the way I see it.
When it comes to Mandy, many of us suffer from cognitive dissonance. We love the show and will watch the show. But the new Mandy just doesn't seem to fit. Not trying to be mean, but she's taller, thinner and she has blond hair. She towers over Eve. But, it seems Kyle likes her. Of course, Kyle likes everybody.
This second episode really tugged at my heart, so I had to write an article about it.
Folks, if you like to laugh, you need to watch Last Man Standing. In my opinion, Last Man Standing is the funniest show on TV since Mr. Ed. If only Mike would get a talking horse, at least for an episode or two.
